Adam WilsonParticipant
seems to be that when double clicking on edit mode, it just goes straight in, but when double clicking in start/stop/switch mode (whatever its called) it restarts the page … kinda makes sense in a way……. need to get used to making sure the light is flashing when I wanna edit.
Adam WilsonParticipantok its back to this weird behaviour again and I have a gig tomorrow night!!
there seems to be some kind of workaround aranging the pages so that it starts one in, but seems the glitch out the timing real easily.
if anyone has a clue it would be much appreciated…. thx
Adam WilsonParticipantok … seems to be ok now. maybe it was a little glitch….. last night, and today, it seems to be working as it should.
!Adam WilsonParticipant…also if I have 4 pages chained, it misses the first one out when I start the sequencer!!
Adam WilsonParticipantyeh its pretty maddening isnt it… there are workarounds, I mean I can use say velocity to bring the filter level up and down, but it means I cant really go in and tweak the sound completely…
Adam WilsonParticipantOK – worked out when its happening… when I have more than one connected row in a page, it sends the message each time round if one of the tracks has a program change message.
If I just have a 16 step loop the its fine, only sends the message the page is switched.
This has been bugging me tonight!! If anyone knows of a workaround… ?
I guess I could chain pages together but that takes up space on the grid.Adam WilsonParticipantyep… my 3rd post to say this .. but it is amazing, I can see why the option to have it off might be useful in some situations .. but seriously… this is the dogs bollox as we say around here.. its almost everything I want in a sequencer now.
Adam WilsonParticipantOh yes…. watch this space… this has just made the Nemo about twice as cool as it was before. Thanks for posting, I’ve been too busy to spend time in the studio lately but that video got me downloading and installing the new OS and boy am I a happy boy!
Adam WilsonParticipantA thousand thank you’s to Genoqs and all who helped with this release… finally downloaded and installed it… INSTANT PAGE SWITCHING THANK YOU!!!!
I was almost gonna give up on the Nemo for live work… this was the missing feature for me… so many amazing possibilities opening up now for creating new patterns on the fly from rhythmic switching. Takes the machine to another level.
:silly: :woohoo:Adam WilsonParticipantExcellent, thanks for letting us know.
Is there some info somewhere of the updates/fixes?Cheers
EDIT: I see it now in the releases section… Hypersteps!!! Sounds exciting

Adam WilsonParticipantI agree with Gabriel.
It’s very easy to think of some cool feature. It’s very easy to mess up a perfectly fine machine (though with relatively limited functionality) by adding more and more features and make the work flow more and more complex. In the end featurism may actually kill all the fun and the ‘zen’ of the original design. To keep the zen in, we’ll have to very careful as to what feature is added. IMO of course.

Adam WilsonParticipantAre you sure you have the ‘200’ (sync) LED lit?
Last time I checked it worked fine for me.Adam WilsonParticipantRegarding the support of midi CC subtracks, you’re certainly not the first to make this request, and I certainly see your point, from a usage point of view. Conceptually, a track that records notes as well as a number of different CC messages is easy to grasp.
BUT… (and this is my personal opinion, not genoQs’), I think the subtrack concept makes the machine too complex, UI wise. It’s yet another zoom level added, and I’m not sure if I’m waiting for that.
And then there’s the issue of memory. Adding 10 more CC values, or even worse, 10 NRPN messages to each step needs a ton of memory. And while it may be available atm, we could also use that memory for other features, logic, other data structures, etc.
So I’m not convinced yet, and for the moment prefer to use a number of dedicated tracks in the page for CCs. This also adds to the fun that certain CC tracks can have different speeds, lengths and plackback algos. Way more fun!
Adam WilsonParticipantHi Wilson,
I understand now. You’re probably talking about NRPN messages that use 14-bit data using a pair of CC messages. That stuff simply hasn’t been implemented, it’s not supportet at the moment.
As a cheap way out, does the LP support normal CCs for mod wheel and filter cutoff? You’ll lose resolution, yes, but at least you can record your tweaks.
Adam WilsonParticipantJust tried recording bender messages with my latest OS version, and it all works fine. I’ll try the latest official OS release next, but I’m suspecting something else is going on here…
