ParticipantHi Jimski,
you can watch that on my basic demonstrations No. 10:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E5udvzQKvZ8&feature=mfu_in_order&list=UL
Look also in the manual for Midi Maps.
It´s not very difficult.
Have Fun.

ParticipantHi,
if there enough people who like to produce a song with the Octopus as the central sequencer (not Live or Logic,…) It this possible to open a web-disk space f.e. on http://www.my-drive.ch) for file up-/download.Some rules could be:
* Octopus/Nemo is the central sequencer in the setup
* Track lenght max 5 min.
* music style …this schould be free
* only one track per Octopus OwnerIf we get a lot of tracks we can vote the 8 best one to be published on my-space or similar.
What do you think?

ParticipantIf you switch off the Octopus without saving before (Grid-Prog) the actual programming or changing are lost. The Octopus stores always the whole machine state.

ParticipantHi,
I like your idea for a community Collaboration Project based on an Octopus Setup.I will produce a track for this, but where and how should I upload this track (mp3)?
Cheers

Octopus, Virus TI, Spectralis, Microwave I Kore, Mac Book Pro with Logic & Live; Reaktor, Arturia,…
All controlled by the Octopus.

ParticipantHi, I do ambient and electro music since a long time with the Octopus.
We do regular ambient sessions (www.ambientcircle.de) in Germany NRW.The key of using the Octopus in the context of ambient is to work less with the 1/16 note sequences and more with long notes and cords plus midi controllers.
Also the use of the more deeper Octopus functions (effector, hyper steps,…)
is fruitful. -
