We are talking here about a tight integration, like LED status etc, not only sending trigger signals. That has been on my list for a while, but there were other pains to be taken care of. Let me know if you want to pick it up.That sounds very very interesting – I don’t use Live so much in the studio, but for a stripped down live set with Live controlled by the octopus it would be very very cool

KeymasterWow, it is really cool Robert, if you can develop things on your own that can be included in the official OS. A big Go-for-it from me.
My biggest wish regarding new features: The midi rechanneling that you mention is way up there, for sure.
We have talked about lots of interesting esoteric stuff, but I have to mention this augmentation of Allign: Link:Super allign
If you work with tempo multipliers and want to keep the workflow (not to mention live performance) I think it is much needed.Post edited by: LDT, at: 2008/06/24 17:52

KeymasterTo send MCC from steps you set the MIDI channel of the track, the MCC of the track and the MCC value of the step. You probably did not assign any MCC to the track yet.

KeymasterHi Robert, check out http://www.gnuarm.com/files.html
Under "Binaries" you can find a GCC 3.3 version for OS X.
Let us know how it goes.gseher
KeymasterOff course it is possible to edit your way out of it, but in terms of live performance and general not-breaking-the-workflow it would be sweet to be able to avoid the moment where certain notes suddenly stops playing just because you adjusted the STA value.
A non-legato mode would also take care of your legato needs: Apply non-legato and adjust LEN one click more.

KeymasterSorry about that Lars – the stability issue had absolute top priority, and this is now moving high up the list fast.

KeymasterThe OS file is now available for download in the service area!
Thanks for your patience

KeymasterStill driving me crazy….

Keymaster–actually had to take it temporarily down – will be back shortly after a few more checks.

Keymasterwell.. many many moons ago, Marcel and I used to actually make music

Via various routes we came to play live acid, of the Hardfloor kind and beyond. Normally with a setup containing one or two TB-303 (obligatory), a MIDIfied SH-101 sequenced by a TR-909 (seems familiar? hint!)
Chemically speaking, acids are solved oxides, so the concept of "general oxidation" was born. And there was the name. The current spelling is a variation on the theme really.
As geeky and non-spectacular as it is, that’s how it all came about

I can’t capture the crash on video, it happens fairly randomly.
ripeGuys, about the sporadic crash thing you mention..
I dug deep and actually did find some interesting things that I re-coded immediately. Since the bug seems to manifest only sporadically, I cannot yet tell if it is fixed or not.If you have a chance to test out the current beta OS _for stability_ it would help validate or refute my current theories. It is really a 1.42 but not compatible with the official 1.42 sysex (yet). The file may be downloaded in the service area.
Let me know how it goes on your end.

KeymasterJust a thought (very obvious, but sometimes it is easy to miss the obvious;) ):
I think it is possible to accieve some dimming just by adjusting the view angle: If you look at them from 90 degrees above, they are a lot brighter than when you are off angle.gseher
