    It would be nice to have a Grid-Step Mode as follows:

    Normally you set a midi channel to track and you set steps into the track (Track Mode or Grid-Track Mode).

    My idea is to go to Step Mode and give steps individual or grouped midi channels. For example: In a page vertical 1-4 steps plus horizontal 1 – 4 steps (quadrat) gets midi channel 6 and the next quadrat midi channel 7 …. For Tracks where steps has set midi channels the track midi channel will be ignored.

    Now if you press the steps the Octopus will send on the set midi channel a Note on and if you release the step a Note off. So with Force to Scale you can play it like a piano.

    In parallel f.e. Track 1 -4 will play as normal in track mode (e.g. drums and a bass) but the leads, fx and pads are played by pressing the steps.

    Sorry my english is not so good but hopefully you understand my idea.B)

    Is this not of interessed?
