Hello Octopus users !
This sequencer seems really great but it’s hard to find videos or movies of this machine in action.
So Octopus owner show us how you use it.Best Regards,
oXo
August 18, 2007 at 17:36 #1153gseherKeymasterOK, I uploaded a video of me programming "rock your body" into the octopus. I used some tricky track chaining to play it in sequence. check it out

John K.August 21, 2007 at 10:54 #1191gseherKeymasterGreat !
Thanks a lot for this video.
It’s really great to have a live progamming session with the Octopus.Best Regards,
August 21, 2007 at 12:45 #1197gseherKeymasterNo problem, although the guys over at Matrixsynth didn’t seem to like the demo too much.

They said it looked too complicated and slow. I don’t think they realize that I was trying to demonstrate the immediacy of the Octopus.
In the time I composed the melody from starting the octopus, most people would still be booting a computer, and/or setting up a DAW session.
cheers
JKAugust 21, 2007 at 13:46 #1202AdministratorParticipantI think the disconnect with the comments may come from people possibly gathering from the demo that Octopus may be some sort of batch processing device
It may be worth doing the same exercise with the machine running so you can actually see how you can get something shaping up to a good result!
Actually you could easily counter that comment about playing in the melody in 2.3 seconds. Just set it to record mode and go..
August 22, 2007 at 23:06 #1204gseherKeymasterWho else could help us with more video material?
We will put our demo videos we have shown on
our old webpage back online in the next days
but we are quite busy at the moment with various
related tasks and we would very much appreciate
any help we can get.August 23, 2007 at 00:34 #1212gseherKeymasterI can help with some, what do you have in mind?
cheers
JKAugust 23, 2007 at 10:19 #1213gseherKeymasterShort tutorial-like videos or a whole jaming session would be fun to see.
Depending on how much time you can spare for it.August 23, 2007 at 21:50 #1154gseherKeymasterOk..I’m creating some tonight.
It’s on the project list.August 24, 2007 at 10:10 #1155DanielParticipantVideo Basic Demonstration 1
