    Hi Guys,

It would be very nice to only send clock out on one of the midi ports rather than both.

Maybe alternating between the following states when you set the clock on.

    off
    both
    port 1
    port 2

Then we can send midi data down one port and clock down the other.

    Cheers

    Andy

+1 for this suggestion! I also thought about this when I started to use the Nemo

As far as I know, it’s always good to reduce the data that travels through a midi cable as much as possible, to the point where you only send the data that’s really going to be used.

Sending unnecessary information such as clock could only make the midi less accurate. I am especially thinking about the timing of the note on/triggers.

How does Nemo actually handle this in terms of priority? I suppose clock would get priority and then the midi note on trigger? This would mean that if I am sequencing a synth that doesn’t need any clock information, the note triggers are delayed by the clock that’s being sent along?

I’d like to know what the people of Genoqs think about this?
