wish? MIDI echo off… or channelize?

OK, I have the octopus integrated into the studio setup, but the first thing I noticed was that the MIDI input is always echoed out to the MIDI output.

Is there some way to turn off the echoing of MIDI input?

Or even better would be if you could channelize the MIDI echo to a selected track. Right now if I enter note pitches it will also play various instruments in the studio, depending on the MIDI channel my controller is on.

Also I noticed that the octopus does not echo or output MIDI clock when it is slaving to an external MIDI clock, it would be nice to select the option to sync and retransmit MIDI clock as a slave.
