OK – I could reproduce this. It is on the fix list. Thanks!

I was not able to reproduce in a first extended run. Can anyone else confirm this bug?

Hartley, can you possibly say more about the surrounding circumstances? I.e. can you try and start the machine empty (holding the CLR button pressed while booting), and see if you can reproduce it on an empty Grid? And from there try to work up the ladder and see if you can find any other factor that may produce the error? Thanks!

Nice idea! Please help me better understand how this would work though. In particular, how does "the scale defined by the input chord" really look like? For 1 note, 2 notes, 3 notes, etc..

    Ability to modulate tempo multipliers?
This is what hypersteps in conjunction with LEN step events are all about.. (available in the current public beta and the just around the corner release 1.62).
Build a hyperstep and modify its length, then play with the LEN factor of the track the hyperstep is on. Is this what you were looking for?

I think we are all set on this one and Klaus made a happy impression after testing out the provided fix.

OK – identified the issue, but it will take a bit to get it sorted. I apologize for the inconvenience in the meantime. Let me know if it grows to a major annoyance.

Oh, and there seems to be something funny (bug-ish) about the hyperstep containing its own "normal" note. This does not seem usefull to me. I would much rather that the moment a step becomes a hyperstep, its "normal" step note ceases to exist. This would also in line with the above feature expansion.

Actually this is intended to support the case where you have a track send some MCC data set that affects the note played by the hyperstep. When you modify the length of the note the modulation scales accordingly.
Anyone else has an opinion on this?

Yes, I have seen that note / bug report and it is on my list now.

By note offset are you referring to the track PIT offset here, Lars?

    Nice input Lars!
So what does everyone else think? Hyperstep related that is..
Remember we are in beta so there are still doors open.

    Hello Duncan,
    delighted to have you back!!
Getting the bits to retrofit the machine is physically possible, but considering that the retrofit act would resemble more a component recycling process than anything else (due to the physical build of the machine – think: at some point you would have a bowl full of bearing balls in front of you), we are not ready to support it to the extent that users should do it on their own. We are evaluating other possibilities however.
Please stay tuned, and please stay with us this time, will you..
    Cheers,
    Gabriel

OK – the speed in the upcoming public beta is reduced. You should check it out (as soon as the beta arrives).
